Flight of Fools

A political satire about escapism for a world where politics determine what is real. A fantasy about reality.

A thief, a bard, a wizard, and a farmer help the long-lost prince evade the dragon and recover the magical amulet that will help him rise to power, only to see him assassinated on page 9.

The team scatters.

Gullin, the bard, is branded as a criminal and struggles to escape poverty.

Masothelio, the wizard, is betrayed by the outcome and sets off on a new role to make amends.

Jin, the thief, finds that she cannot escape how people treat her.

Rainn escapes into a world made just for him; one that makes him feel good and where he can be used for others’ ends.
